An Easy to Make Sweet Potato Smoothie Recipe with just 3 ingredients! Flavor of Orange Creamsicle. We use a high powered juicing blender along with orange juice and frozen yogurt. You can make a perfect smoothie that is fun and colorful for the kids by adding whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles and a cherry.

Simple Ingredients
- Unpasturized Orange Juice: It tastes fresher than Concentrated. You can use fresh oranges but they would need to be extracted or juiced prior to adding them to the blender. I prefer Low-Acid OJ.
- You could also use fresh pineapple juice. See at How to Juice a Pineapple.
- 1 Fresh Sweet Potato: Not a Yam. Yams should not be eaten raw.
- Vanilla Frozen Yogurt: If you can't find it, you may use regular vanilla ice cream or your favorite frozen vanilla non-dairy dessert.
- Optional: Whipped Cream, rainbow sprinkles, and a cherry for kids.

"When my little girls get home from school, their favorite afternoon snack is a smoothie. It's a healthy treat that holds them over until dinner time.
I purchased a high powered blender last year and have been amazed at the delicious AND healthy blends I've been able to create. My favorite is sweet potato and orange.
If you don't have a juicer-blender, you can use a juice extractor, or fine grate your sweet potato before using your regular blender. I'm guessing you could even use a food processor! This is a simple raw recipe that is sure to bring a smile to your little sunshine's face."
Directions
1. First, Wash, Peel and Dice the potato into cubes.
2. Be sure to use a Heavy knife. Raw Sweet Potatoes are Hard.
You can also buy Pre-cut Raw Sweet Potato cubes in the Produce Section of your grocery store.
3. Next, Liquify the sweet potato and juice together on the "Juice" or "Smoothie" Setting. Add the frozen yogurt or ice cream to get a creamy texture.
I highly recommend the Blendtec blender. It's still running after all these years. I call it my "Kitchen Power Tool." You'll want to use a blender that is at least 1400 watts power.
Raw Sweet Potatoes add a Natural Sweetness.
Whole Juicing and Raw Juicing
This is a raw sweet potato. Part of WHOLE raw juicing is that the juice will have more texture because the fiber of the fruit or vegetable are in the juice. It is not filtered as with extractor type juicers. Sweet potato, in particular, is a little bit chalky.
If you want to use orange juice from fresh oranges, you'll want to hand squeeze the juice or use an electric juice extractor. The pulp from the inside of the orange is too much for a smoothie.
Suggestions:
Coconut milk Ice Cream, Greek Yogurt Ice Cream, or regular vanilla ice cream may be used. Even a Non-Dairy type.
