There’s something about a warm cobbler bubbling up golden brown that just feels like the ultimate comfort food. This easy peach cobbler with canned peaches recipe uses simple ingredients, and the key ingredient is Half & Half, which gives the best texture to the crusty top.
Only Five Ingredients

What’s the beauty of this recipe? It’s packed with flavor yet incredibly simple. You don’t need fresh peaches, fancy tools, or much time. You grab a can of peaches (in heavy syrup), stir up a biscuit dough‑style batter, pour it in a baking dish, and bake.
How To Make Peach Cobbler with Canned Peaches
Step 1: Strain the peaches and reserve ½ cup of the syrup.

Step 2: Pour the ½ cup of syrup back into the peaches. Add 2 Tablespoons of the Bisquick and stir well.

Step 3: Make the dough topping. 1 cup more Bisquick, Melted Butter, Sugar and Half & Half.

Step 4: Drop mounds of dough onto the top.

Step 5: Spread the dough out with a spoon. Bake.

This recipe serves 4 to 6, but if you want to feed a crowd, you can double it easily with a larger casserole dish. Bake time might increase by a few minutes so keep an eye on that golden top.

Tips or Variations
You'll want to take notice of any dark places on your canned peaches. Yes, sometimes a little of the peach pit is still attached and it can break a tooth, so you'll want to remove that.

- If your canned peaches are in light syrup or fruit juice, add a little bit of sugar to the peaches.
- Add seasonings like ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg if you want a spiced version.
- Store leftover peach cobbler in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Rewarm individual portions in the microwave. Top with whipped cream or ice cream when serving.
