3Honeycrisp Appleswashed, cored and diced- skin on
1 ¼cupvanilla yogurt
3tablespoonsmayonnaise
⅛teaspoonsalt
½cupgolden raisins
1cup pre-shredded carrotssee note*
¾cupchopped celery
½cup walnutschopped (not black walnuts)
Instructions
Wash, core, chop the apples into ¼ -inch cubes. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, stir together the yogurt, mayo and salt.
Add yogurt mixture to apples, raisins, carrots, celery and walnuts. Stir.
Chill for at least one hour before serving.
Notes
There are many varieties of apples that make for a great Waldorf Salad. Just make sure they are sweet and firm. *Pre-shredded carrots are preferred for this recipe because they are crisp and won't discolor the salad.
